Yaalon: Withdrawals Must End
Israeli territorial withdrawals must stop, former Israel Defense Forces [IDF] Chief of Staff Moshe (Bogie) Yaalon said November 18 after officially announcing that he would be joining the Likud Party. During a press conference summoned by Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, Yaalon said, "My deliberation was not whether to join this or that party, but whether to enter politics."

Rockets, Mortar Shells Hit South
Tension rose in the south once again on November 18, as three Kassam rockets were fired from Gaza. The rockets landed in open areas in Shaar HaNegev Regional Council. Two mortar shells followed the rocket barrage. No injuries or damages were reported.

Tensions High in Hebron; Settlers Gird for Battle
Settlers are girding for battle over a disputed Hebron home slated to be evacuated in the next few hours in line with a High Court of Justice ruling. In a special meeting attended by about 1,000 people, Rabbi Dov Lior urged participants to avert the evacuation.
